Learn about ankle & wrist weights
How heavy should ankle weights be?
Ankle weights are a popular tool which add resistance to your workout, making the legs work harder. The question is, how heavy should my ankle weights be?
Are ankle weights effective?
Ankle weights are designed to increase the intensity of your workouts by adding more weight than you are used to. They are usually made from neoprene and filled with either sand or iron shot and secured comfortably around the ankle using a hook and loop fastening. By adding ankle weights to your normal workout, your muscles will need to work harder which will in turn increase strength and fat burn whilst toning your legs and glutes.
Do wrist weights actually work?
Wrist weights are great for toning the arms and developing upper body strength. Secure them snuggly around the wrist and increase the intensity of your workouts. Wrist weights allow you to free up your hands so you’re adding weight without needing to grip a weight in your hand. Adding wrist weights raises your heart rate and increases calorie burn too!
