What is handball?
Handball is a team sport usually with 7 players per team (including a goalkeeper). It involves throwing a ball into the opponent’s goal. Players are allowed to hold the ball for no more than 3 seconds before they have to pass it onto another player or dribble the ball. Players, other than the goalkeeper, are not allowed to kick the ball. Handball requires fitness, agility and coordination. Cardio fitness is key for this sport along with strength training, particularly legs, arms and chest to ensure optimum performance.
